The Emperor Has No Clothes: Fiasco In Chatham House
Agree with his politics or not, any objective observer of the Chatham House fiasco cannot help but wonder about the competence, mental acuity and honesty of the man who wants to lead Nigeria.

Gov. Soludo, Peter Obi is not Hitler in the making. The Labour Party is not Nazi Party in the making. Obi’s supporters are not swastika-wearing SS or Nazis, with free rein to terrorize political opponents.
My fellow Nigerians, eight years ago, you gave me a mandate to govern as your president. I deliver this speech from the heart, a burdened heart. It’s both an apology and a plea for national reconciliation. In this final speech, I detail my failures, why I failed, my regrets, advice for the candidates who want to replace me, and most importantly, advice to voters who will elect my replacement.
It’s a failure of the imagination not to accept the possibility that Obi can win. Peter Obi is the right leader to bridge not only generations but ideologies that often divide us – tribalism, religion, exclusivism, and regionalism. His economic and security agenda will unite the nation and bring prosperity and peace for all law-abiding citizens.
The primary focus of Mr. Peter Obi’s national economic strategy — which I call Obinomics — is on unleashing an industrial renaissance, never before seen in Nigeria, to deliver the lasting benefits of a more innovative, resilient, progressive and productive economy.
In this period of national distress and personal despair, when we have lost faith in ourselves and in each other, when our democracy is flailing and our government and corrupt politicians have failed us, we expect messianic deliverance. Accordingly, we believe that there is one superhuman out there who has the power to save us – our wish-fulfillment messiah. We tend to adore and glorify individuals who give all of themselves to a common cause.
